TREE-TOP PRINCESS
LOCATION: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK, UGANDA
Lioness
Through her trials and tests,
Moments of wished solitude and peace are warmly welcomed.
An intertwined weave of nature’s outstretched, chlorophyll-filled fingertips rises up,
Sturdy and wise.
This shall be her throne.
She makes her move, tentatively treading up textured trunk,
As only her pride knows how.
Moulded to her muse,
Above she sees her views.
In care-free isolation,
Untroubled and untouched.
Here she lingers,
Caressed and held in peaceful postures.
The effortless essence of regality hovers,
For in this moment she is a tree-top princess.
