I have waited for you,

Seen the dawn turn to dusk, many a time.

Seen the dew glow and leave the grass as the sun grows, many a time.

I have heard the wind whisper in anticipation of your arrival, many a time.

I have felt you dance in preparation to meet the Earth, many a time.

The rains have fallen and the dust has risen, many a time.

And now,

With you by my side,

I long to see you grow and thrive.

For moments with you are what gives me life, many a time.
